Beautiful Beloveds,

This week, I begin a new credentialing program to become a Certified Renewalist.  I covet our prayers in this time of learning and leading.   Creating A Culture of Renewal is a three year program, led by Rebekah Simon-Peter, and a team of excellent faculty from around the country and our United Methodist Connectional system.  The program is designed to help pastors and lay leaders learn and  apply leadership best practices for the sake of the renewal of the church. We began a three day, opening retreat yesterday.  The retreat, three days of intense learning, runs all day.  So I am very grateful to Ed Deyton for leading our Vespers this evening.

This Sunday, we wrap up our Roll Down Justice Series. For everyone trying something new this week, I offer you this song in prayerful blessing, “God has not given you a Spirit of Fear,” by Mark Miller.  You can see and hear it here.  Teachers, students, everyone who is stretching yourself in some new way, I’m praying for you.

Peace,
Heather

This fundraiser will be in place of our always successful annual Harvest Dinner/Auction. As in the past, there will be wonderful goods and services donated by our talented church members for sale on
our church website. These make great holiday gifts for family and friends. If you have something you would like to donate for the auction, it is not too late! You may contact Jackie Schrafft at 908-377-4811, Sharlene Moran at 774-487-1619 or Diane Hembree at 508-737-261. Thanks to those who have already participated.  Stay tuned for more information!

Please save your shoes.  As you, or your children, or your grandchildren grow out of shoes, please hold on to them.  We have a church fundraiser coming up soon, which will collect gently used shoes.  Stay tune for more information.
