August 25th was nursery staff Seanna Perino's last day.  She will be studying at Bridgewater State University. We are grateful for her years of love and care for our littlest ones.  Moving forward the Staff Parish Relations Committee hopes to staff the nursery with volunteers.  If you are willing to serve one Sunday a month, or one Sunday per season, please let Pastor Heather know.  Children are always welcome in worship.  Their laughter, questions, singing, and even fears are a reminder that we are blessed to be an inter-generational community.

Worship Notes

Would you like to read scripture for worship one Sunday.  Whether a seasoned lay reader or just curious about sharing in Sunday morning worship, we hope you'll consider being a lay reader.  Time committment depends ont he number of volunteers, however the rotation is usually one Sunday every other month or so.  We work around your schedule and always have a back-up plan if you are unable to make it work.  If you are interested reach out to Carol Eichner after church or call/email Pastor Heather at / 508-737-9665.

I Wonder...

Hey Pastor! Why do we stand for some hymns and sit for others?  Sometimes the decision is purely practical: i.e., standing for the last hymn prepares us to depart.  Sometimes the reason is theological:  standing can represent reverence, i.e., standing for the reading of "High Holy Texts" like the Easter story.  Standing can also represent committement and embodiment of the lyrics.
