Worship with Us on Sunday, September 15, 2024
Pastor John Wesley Taylor
8:30 am (worship outside weather-permitting) or 10:00 am
(Sunday School at 10:00 am)
Scripture: Galatians 5: 13-26, John 15: 1-8
Sermon: Are You Fruitful or Fruitless? Staying Connected to the True Vine! Part 2
Tomorrow’s sermon will focus on John 15 and Galatians 5 (Part 2). Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches, with God as the gardener. We’ll talk about how God prunes us to help us grow and produce ore fruit in our faith. Scruffy will also make an appearance during the children’s sermon at 10 AM.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” — John 15:1-2
Stay connected to the true vine through weekly services, daily prayer, scripture, and fellowship. If you can’t make it in person, join us online via YouTube or Facebook.
Please submit prayer requests here or call Pastor John 508-451-5858 or Mary Anne Farley (774) 487-0719.

Church Picnic Sunday September 15th, at 3 PM at Dowses Beach. Bring your own lunch and a lawn chair, and we’ll meet by the big red umbrella. We’ll provide ice cream for dessert, and if you’d like, bring a game to share. Let’s enjoy some great fellowship in the beautiful weather!
We’re also launching our Secret Prayer Pals Project, a wonderful way to connect through prayer. To join, simply put your name and address in the Secret Prayer Pal box. Tomorrow, you’ll draw a name to pray for, but if you can’t be at church, just contact Jane in the office by phone or email, and we’ll make sure you’re included. Over the next two months, send at least three anonymous notes of encouragement to your pal, and we’ll reveal our Prayer Pals at the Harvest Supper on November 9th and during church on November 10th. It’s a fun and meaningful way to pray for one another. As Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
The next Church Council Meeting is scheduled for September 25th at 7 PM in the Solarium. You can also join via Zoom – details will be sent out by email soon. Hope many of you can attend!
