Launched in 2010 by the people of the United Methodist Church, the program’s goal is to eradicate malaria by 2015 through prevention, education, communication, and treatment. Imagine No Malaria accomplishments to date have included training more than 11,000 volunteer health care workers, dispensing medicine and medical care through more than 300 United Methodist hospitals and clinics, distributing more than 2 million bed nets through the United Methodist Committee on Relief, and creating and training 13 health boards serving 16 African countries to monitor, evaluate and facilitate Imagine No Malaria program effectiveness.
Osterville United Methodist Church contributes to these efforts to save lives and improve the health and the livelihood of entire villages and communities for generations to come.
We encourage our congregation to support this program and encourage people to help this program reach its life-saving goal of $75 million to eliminate death and suffering from malaria in Africa.
